Sauk Prairie principal jailed

Daniel Markofski, 47, took a 16-year-old girl and her 15-year-old cousin to a Super 8 Motel in Glendale, Wis. where they drank cognac, wine coolers and smoked marijuana. He forced the girls to watch a pornographic movie and had sex with the 16-year-old.

He taught second through eight grades at North Lake School in Manitowish Waters.

A person accused and convicted for having sexual contact or sexual intercourse with a person who has attained the age of 13 years, but has not attained the age of 16 years is guilty of second-degree sexual assault of a minor child, a Class C felony. (WI Stat 948.02(2))
