Lawyer Rothstein Flees Country
Rothstein handled large
Trust Accounts, and ran a hedge fund. Rothstein's uncle also worked
at the firm, assisting the CFO in cutting checks. His uncle has fled
with Rothstein.

Rothstein had a private jet he
leased, and speculation as to his whereabouts now centers on Israel.
Rothstein will use his 'Right of return' status to fight extradition.

His Partner Claims He Knew
nothing
I think we're going to go down in
history in the same breath as convicted Ponzi schemer Bernard Madoff,"
Rosenfeldt said. "The only reason that I am not crying is I took a
Xanax. I've been crying nonstop since Friday.''

In One Fund There Is $100
Million Missing
The Fort Lauderdale securities
litigation firm Sonn & Erez announced Monday that it is
investigating claims that Rothstein "may be involved in a $100
million investment that imploded," according to a press release.
"I have heard that one of the funds run by Rothstein was named 'Banyon
Capital' but I have not yet seen the offering documents," said
attorney Jeffrey Sonn in the press release.

Rothstein Was Given
City Police Bodyguards
"My law firm had seen
Scott Rothstein living a very large lifestyle, including
armed bodyguards, police protection, very expensive cars,
luxury homes, jewelry, donations and appeared to be
something out of a Great Gatsby movie."

He Owned His Own
Restaurant
Rothstein played in
big circles, the South Florida Jewish crowd counted him
as an 'Up and comer'. He often dropped the sugar magnate
Fanjul, the sports team owner Huezinga, carnival cruise
lines Arinson, and others names.
Naturally Rothstein
had a yacht, mansion, jet, and a bevy of blonde shiksas.

A Hollywood
Player
Rothstein was a partner in Renato Watches. He
also founded a media and entertainment company
with a goal of representing "athletes and
celebrities from around the globe''.

This Is A Big Story
Rothstein's antics may run into the
billions. When you run a hedge fund and can buy derivatives, then a $
billion is a small number. Rothstein could have bought $2 billion in
treasury futures for a mere $20 million in an account. On the other
side of the transaction is a fellow scammer, and the two split the
money.
It's like a banker that gives a
friend a $100 million dollar loan, the money is wired to Israel, the
friend defaults, and the American taxpayer gets the bill.
