Appellate Court
A state lawyer asked the California Supreme Court Tuesday to
reinstate a second-degree murder conviction for a San Francisco
woman whose dogs fatally mauled a neighbor six years ago.

California DA Wants Justice
Deputy Attorney Amy Haddix told the panel at a hearing in San
Francisco that attorney Marjorie Knoller knew from previous
incidents that her two Presa Canario 140 pound guard dogs were
potential "killing machines."

Dennis Riordan, argued that even if the court concludes that
the original verdict was reached under the correct legal standard,
the case should be sent back to Superior Court Judge James Warren
for reconsideration.
